The American War for Independence was hanging by a thread, a warn and frayed thread. The two Battles of Trenton, along with the daring crossing of the Delaware and the Battle of Princeton are the linchpin that held the American Revolution together and upon which the War for Independence turned from certain defeat to possible and eventual victory for the Americans. Without these substantial victories, The United States of America might not exist today.
